Sunday school not only provides an opportunity for young people to learn about their faith in ways that are age-apporpriate but also allows parents a chance to attend a class for themselves or relax in our family lounge for fellowship with other adults. Programming is held September through May. All children through high school will need to fill out a Sunday School Registration Form. Find out more about how children can get involved in worship, go to Children in Worship. For more information regarding children programming contact, Chris Lane.
Jesus and Me (K-5 graders)
During 11:00 service, rooms 105 & 106
A fun fresh group centered around learning in small groups. Through Jesus and Me (JAM) children learn they have a friend in Jesus and how to see goodness amidst all life has to offer. With the JAM session model, children will learn in-depth teaching via 4 learning methods: Bible Games, Art, Drama and Science and Technology which rotate from week to week. We finish each Sunday with meaningful worship through motion and song.
Third Grade Bible Study Class
February 12 Bible Distribution Sunday
February 19 - March 19 2017, During 11:00 service in room 102
After children receive Bibles during a Traditional worship service, we dive into the Bible learning where it came from, how to navigate through it and what use the Bible has to their lives. This class is open to the public and for all 3rd graders as well as any 4th and 5th graders who have not yet taken the class. Please contact Chris Lane with the names of any children who may be interested in this course.
Heroes in Action Youth Group (K-3 graders)
6:00 - 7:00 p.m., room 105
Heroes surround us as part of our Central Church family. Each week we invite a "hero" from our congregation to share their story of how God is real in their life and has inspired them to make positive changes in the world. The teachings of Vacation Bible School and the Big Picture Bible teachings are carried throughout the year. Crafts, games and snacks are also a part our learning together as we find ways to be a Christian Hero in Action. Children's Choir practice starts at 7:00 p.m.
Club Central (3-5 graders)
6:00 - 7:30 p.m., room 102
As we grow tomorrows leaders, children will focus on social justice through art, play, discussion and the act of offering a helping hand to our community.
