Acolytes
9:00 and 11:00 traditional services.
The third grade bible class is traditionally where children learn to become acolytes. An acolyte carries the light into the sanctuary at the beginning of the worship service and carries it from the sanctuary at the end of worship. This training takes place during one of the Bible classes and offers another opportunity for our children to be active participants in worship.
Children's Church
Each Sunday following Children's Time during the 11:00 services
3-4 year old children meet in Room 105 of the NurseryKindergarten thru 3rd Grade, Room 302
Children at Central are encouraged to worship in many ways and age appropriate practices can be found in Children’s Church! Children will explore the same topic the adults are hearing about, in ways they can grasp and use in their lives; through games, activities, crafts and music. Goals include memorizing scripture, helping with community outreach projects and making new friends in the spirit of Christ. Children will join the congregation on Communion Sunday, the first Sunday of the month to participate in that tradition.
Choristers
The Choristers is our choir for singers 3rd through 6th grades. They rehearse Sunday morning and perform throughout the year including performances Christmas Eve and our Spring musical! They have a great time making music and making new friends. Come and join us!
Third Grade Bible Class
October 19, 26 and November 2
Bibles will be handed out October 16 at the 9:00 a.m. Well service and 11:00 Sanctuary service
Room 305
Central believes that youngsters feeling comfortable with the Bible and knowing the wealth of wisdom and knowledge that comes from it, is fundamental in their Christian walk. At the beginning of October each 3rd grader (or any other elementary student that has not received a bible) receives a New International Version Children’s Bible and is offered the opportunity to attend a three week course on how to use it. At each session the children will explore the books of the Old and New Testament as well as discover some key people in the bible and how God used them for the good of mankind today. Our Pastors often play a key role in this study and will offer a question and answer session so each student has an opportunity to discover the bible by digging a little deeper. Wednesday Nights:
