Children participate in a ritual of offering food to those in need. Beginning in the Gathering Place and flowing into the Sanctuary, children assemble and carry gifts of food to baskets at the altar. A beautiful way children can feel they are giving back to their community as well as taking the opportunity to be thankful for their blessings.
Giving Tree
A Giving Tree is offered during the holidays as an outreach opportunity spearheaded by the "Faith in the 8th" Confirmation Class. Our 19 students have "adopted" a local family that would not have a Christmas with our our help.

Preregistration is required, so please call the office or email the form to reserve your child's spot today. A donation of $2.00 per gift is suggested.
Live Nativity
A live nativity is presented on December 24th, at the 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. worship services. Children recreate the Nativity through costumes, music and narration. The abundant supply of Central costumes ensures that all interested children will be included, providing lasting memories and many photo opportunities.
Palm Processional
On the Sunday before Easter, children participate in a short re-creation of Jesus entering Jerusalem by waving palms and joining the congregation in chanting "Hosanna". Beginning in the Gathering Place and flowing into the Sanctuary, children assemble and carry palms to the altar. After a short Children's Sermon by a Pastor, children are released to the Gathering Place where they either meet their parents or are ushered to Children's Church.
