Adult Ministries
Making Crosses Wednesday, March 13 6:30 -7:30 p.m. Church Lounge
Join us for this great Lenten activity. See making a cross as a spiritual practice that will draw you closer to God and deepen a life lived for Christ. Each attendee will use found materials to create their own cross. Bring things you have around the house (craft supplies, driftwood, found items) or use what we’ve collected at church. The practice of making a cross takes you beyond analytic thinking, and offers a way of prayer where understanding comes from doing.
The Story Sundays, March 10 and 17, April 7, 14, 21 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Church Library Leader: Ruth Jones
This new opportunity uses a version of the Bible written in story form. This study will be a great opportunity for Lent and beyond as we reflect on the Easter story. These 5 lessons will come from the gospel stories of Jesus life, starting with his ministry and finishing with the new beginnings of Christianity after the resurrection. The Story version of the Bible is available in the church office for $10 for those who are interested in having their own copy.
