Beachcombers

Meet in the church parking lot and we will go as a group
to West End Beach, the Open Space and Clinch Park Beach
Many areas of the Great Lakes have been identified by the EPA as endangered by prior pollution. Join us on a service learning, citizen service project, to clean up the waterfront, perform water quality tests, record biological data and improve beach conditions in our re¬gion. What a great learning experience for our students! Check out www.greatlakes.org to learn more about the program and to obtain an 80 page educational activity kit for grades K-8.
Community Garden to Community Meal

Meet in the church parking lot and we will go as a group
Join us for a morning of harvesting the Christ Church Community Garden and taking those foods back to Central’s kitchen to create and serve the Community Meal. What a beautiful example of how we can share our resources with the community to battle hunger in our neighborhood. If possible, bring bags to carry what we pick.
