Nursery
At Central Church we are committed to creating the best environment possible for faith in Christ to be formed in a child. Beginning with baptism, to Sunday school classes, to Confirmation year, to youth group discussions, to mission teams, liturgist and leadership opportunities, there is a lifespan to growing a faith as one grows toward adulthood. Our Nursery Director, Brenda Ondrajka, and Nursery Assistant, Emily Hoxie provide childcare for many classes and events throughout the week. Below, are our offerings for infants through 5 years old.
Nursery Sunday Mornings & Wednesday Evenings Room 102 on the Lower Level
Our loving nursery staff is committed to providing for 0-4 year old children in a safe and caring environment. For parental comfort and constant contact throughout the church, a pager system is utilized. The nursery is available during all Sunday worship services and morning classes as well as Wonderful Wednesday class times.
Children’s Church Sunday Mornings Room 104, Family Ministry Wing
Following Children’s time during the 11:00 service, children begin worship with their family, come forward during the Pastors’ children’s message and move together to the preschool room for an interactive, age appropriate Bible lesson.

Sunday school is a welcoming and loving environment where all children can learn the joy, love and forgiveness that are offered to them through their belief in Jesus and their faith in Christian community. Using the Grow, Proclaim and Serve curriculum, children are engaged through all the senses to encourage spiritual growth by leaps and bounds. Enjoy hands on activities that bring important Bible stories to life for your child and you and the same time.
Little Bracha group 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Third Sunday of each month February 17, March 17, April 21, May 19 Room 106 Family Ministry Wing
A group designed just for families with infants and toddlers. Bracha means Blessing in Hebrew, and children are just that; little blessings. Enjoy other families in the same season of life and watch the little ones interact and grow together. Questions can directed to Micha Bancroft.
Sparrow Story Hour Second Friday of each month March 8, April 12, May 10 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Room 104 Family Ministry wing
Preschoolers and their adult companions are invited to explore God’s creations through stories, snack, games, crafts and free play. Designed to open little eyes to all God has given us, as well as meet new friends and become comfortable in the preschool room.
Parents’ Night Out Third Friday of each month February 15, March 15, April 19, May 17 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Fellowship Hall
Come to church in your P.J.’s? Yes! Infants to 6th graders are encouraged to come to church in their pajamas for a relaxing evening of fun and fellowship! Dinner is provided, along with opportunities to create a craft project, play games and participate in planned activities, with an age appropriate movie to end the evening. An anticipated night for both parents and kids, and all are invited to bring a friend! A free will offering will be taken to offset costs.
