Central United Methodist Church has a long and rich tradition of musical excellence. We welcome people of all ages and musical experience, preschool to senior citizen, novice to professional. Come and make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Adult Handbell Choir  Chancel Choir
The fifty-voice Chancel Choir sings at the 11:00am service most Sundays from September through June. The choir is open to all singers 7th grade through adult and sings music of varying styles, ranging from Renaissance motets to spirituals. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays 7:45 to 9:00pm and Sundays 9:45 to 10:30am.
Choristers
 The Choristers is our choir for singers 3rd through 6th grades. We rehearse Sunday mornings at 6:45-7:30 p.m. in Room 306 and perform throughout the year including performances on Christmas Eve and our Spring Musical! We have a great time making music and making new friends - come join us!
Messiah Sing Information
Central celebrated it's 30th Annual Messiah Sing in 2008. What started as a kitchen-table conversation three decades ago, has become a cherished tradition for Central and the Traverse City Area. The Messiah Sing, now under the direction of Byron Hanson, is a joyous beginning to the Christmas season, taking place each year in the beginning of December. All are welcome and invited to join us!
Youth Handbell Choir
The Youth Handbell Choir is our handbell choir for youth 7th through 12th grade. We perform throughout the year for worship services and rehearse Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. All youth are invited to join us!
