Small Group – Knit One, Crochet Too
All who enjoy knitting, crocheting, quilting, and fellowship are welcomed. This group has a number of ongoing service projects, including prayer shawls, as well as special and individual projects. Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by their Stephen Leaders to offer care to people who are hurting. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour.

This group will be in a supportive environment where we will work through the book, “It’s OK that you’re not OK” by Megan Devine, and talk about processing grief and offer community and support for those who are processing grief. (We will participate in Serve Weds. On 10/19, from 5:30-7:15 pm)

The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life written by Adam Hamilton. Join Pastor Chris and Pastor Linda as they lead us through their fall sermon series “Five Ways to Stay Spiritually Alive” during Sunday morning worship services, based on this book. For a more in-depth study and rich discussion of “The Walk”, we are offering a 5-session small group book study on Wednesday evenings.
Parents and Youth will hang out and meet our new Youth Director Tara DeGroot. We are excited to see her vision come to life. Come learn more about what youth will be doing this year. Sandwiches will be provided, please bring a dish to pass.

Join us in the back of the sanctuary with your family, or drop the children/youth off and enjoy service on your own! We will do a mini project/message each week during the pastor’s sermon.
This fall, we will focus on the book by Adam Hamilton titled “The Walk”, and this intergenerational study will include a sermon for adults, while children are taught the same sermon in a kid friendly way.
