Brief Volunteer Opportunities

Saturday Morning Set-Up
Help unload mattresses, totes and set up rooms for guests. Need to be at church by 8:00 am on first day of shelter for two+ hours of work.

Provide/Serve Evening Meals
Bring and serve a hot meal (chili, soup, stew, etc) for approximately 75. Arrive at 5:30 pm. Clean up and finish by 8:00 pm.

Evening Monitors
Arrive at church at 5:30 pm. Be with our guests to serve snacks, play games and talk until the Overnight Monitors arrive at 10:00 pm.

Overnight Monitors
Stay overnight (10:00 pm – 7:00 am) with our guests. Make sure everyone is quiet and comfortable. Four monitors (two men and two women) are needed each night with at least two awake at all times.

Breakfast Crew
Arrive at 6:30 to serve breakfast (food is provided) to our guests. Stay and serve until Community Outreach volunteers arrive at 8:00 am.

Morning Monitor
Arrive by 6:45 to make sure guests are up by 7:00 am and that mats and totes are stored properly, with guests ready to leave by 8:00 am.

Clean-Up Crew
Arrive by 8:00 am on the last Saturday morning. Help load mattresses and totes onto the truck, ready for the next church. Clean Fellowship Hall, bathrooms, kitchen and sleeping areas after guests have left.
