Education/Spiritual Growth Groups
Our youth groups impact lives by reaching out, growing as disciples, serving others, worshipping God and praying always. Youth Groups meet September through May. Contact the youth director, Lisa Thomas for additional information. You can also join our Middle School Youth and High School Youth Facebook groups for important updates and details on upcoming programming and events.

Middle School Youth Group (6th - 8th grades)
6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Middle School Youth Group is offered Wednesday nights in the youth room. Join the middle schoolers for a wide variety of guided discussion, field trips, service opportunities, retreats, and opportunities to develop one’s Christian faith. Our goal is to say no to ourselves, and to embrace our identity in Christ. Join them on Facebook.
High School Youth Group (9th - 12th grades)
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Youth Group is offered Sunday nights in the youth room. Join the high schoolers for a mix of discussion, fun and service to others through out the year. Our goal is to not be mere believers, but disciples of Jesus Christ. Join them on Facebook.
Confirmation (8th grade) - The confirmation journey is about equipping teens with the information, tools, and reasoning they need to make an informed decision about committing to follow Christ. CONFIRM is the official curriculum endorsed by the United Methodist Church. Contact Pastor Chris Lane.
Worship Support
Acolytes - The acolyte, a child from 3rd grade or older, carries the light into the sanctuary at the beginning of worship, and carries it from the sanctuary at the end of the worship. Contact Erica Kozlowski.
Handbells - The Youth Handbell Choir is our handbell choir for youth 7th through 12th grade. We perform throughout the year for worship services and rehearse Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All youth are invited to join us! Contact Lynne Lombard.
Scripture Reader - Children are encouraged to be part of our worship service, and one of the more visual ways is reading the morning’s scripture prior to the pastor’s message. Contact Erica Kozlowski.
Congregational Support
Vacation Bible School Junior Counselors - Help lead a summer week packed with games, songs, stories, crafts, and fun!. Youth in grades 6th to 12th grade may serve. Contact Erica Kozlowski.
Social/Support Groups
Boy Scout Troop 36
Young men, ages 11 to 17, are invited to join the Boy Scouts of America at Central. Boy Scouts is the largest leadership development organization for young men, with extra focus on outdoor activities. Visit www.scouting.org for additional information about Boy Scouts of America. Girl Scout Troop 4598
This is a multi level Troop providing a high quality scouting experience for girls of all ages. The Troop plans one Saturday activity each month and participates in council sponsored events, community service projects, Parents Night Out, and various fundraising activities. The troop meets at Central on Tuesday evenings. The Girl Scouts Michigan Shore to Shore, provides a broad view of the program, find out more about Girl Scouts of Michigan.
