Greetings, Central Church!
We are so grateful to be in ministry together in this special time in the life of Central United Methodist Church. As we enter this Lenten season, thank you for the ways you contribute all year!
As a congregation, we are committed to offering radical hospitality to all people. Through careful study over many years we have identified barriers in our building that keep us from fulfilling this vision and we have developed a capital plan to be even more welcoming. This plan challenges us to create more open spaces and eliminate physical obstacles, allowing more church and community members to participate in our services and programs.
The Solvent Group, a local consulting firm that works with not-for-profit organizations, is helping us determine the congregation’s affinity and philanthropic capacity for a $3.5 million fundraising campaign that would support these capital improvements and make our vision a reality.
We have created a draft case statement to provide Central Church members and constituents with the rationale and details for the project. Please review this document so that you can be familiar with our perspectives.
After you have reviewed the draft case statement, we ask that you take 10 to 15 minutes to complete this survey to assess congregational support for a campaign. Your responses will not be connected to your name and we will aggregate them with other responses in a summary report for the church leadership. This is your opportunity to help shape our thinking about a potential fundraising campaign.
The survey will be open until March 24, so please take some time today to share your feedback with us. Thank you for considering this invitation and for your time in completing the survey.
Yours in Christ,
The Building Study Committee
