Rebecca and I lived in bigger cities prior to moving to Traverse City in 2017.

Part of the allure [of Central Church] was the opportunity to connect more deeply with our community.  One aspect of that connection is sensing the community’s needs – in a smaller town, those needs are laid bare.

We see our giving impacting the Traverse City community through a number of great organizations and initiatives.  Serve Saturday, JFON, Safe Harbor, and the Mosaic House are great examples of our congregation’s collective giving having a positive impact on our local community.

Whether it’s inflation or a global pandemic, the community’s needs remain.

As a congregation, we help to meet those needs with our giving – not only our time, but also our money.  Central Church has helped to shape the lens through which Rebecca and I view the impact of our gifts; we see it in church each week!
