Wow! What an amazing sermon! I don’t usually attend church services because I still have some church hurt from the past that I’m healing from. However, this sermon restored my hope and raised my spirits. I especially want to thank Pastor Lucy for their incredible bravery. We watched the live-stream at home and her message about protecting the trans community made me feel secure enough to finally tell my mom that I’m wanting to change my name.
I consider being an art teacher or going into art therapy and have to mentally prepare myself to jump in front of the kids in a shooting scenario. It’s so sad that’s the point where we are at.
And wow my jaw hit the floor when you talked about the plight Palestinians are facing. The Israel/ Palestine conflict is a story of colonialism and I pray others begin to see how much of an unfair advantage Israel has. It’s truly a story of David and Goliath.
During the sermon, three deer came into view across the street, and then later into our yard and looked into our windows at us. Deer are a symbol of peace and three reminded me of the trinity. This sermon really was so magical and I look forward to attending more often 🙂
